Members of the RCUAS (RKRN) went on a study visit to Georgia, to Tbilisi on May 13-17. During the visit following HEIs were visited: Tbilisi State Academy of Art, International Black Sea University, Tbilisi State Medical University and Business Academy of Georgia (SBA). In addition, the Estonian delegation was admitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. The aim was to create mutual relationships, start students and/or lecturers mobility, exchange an information on funding of HE. RCUAS met the President and Vice-President of the Private Colleges Association of Georgia and many of the colleges’ representatives. There are 77 HEIs in Georgia, of which only 11 are in the state administration.

Also a short visit to the Estonian Embassy in Tbilisi took place.
The visit turned out to be instructive, with some contacts and cooperation being created. Participated rectors Ülle Ernits, Ulla Preeden, Katri Raik, Kadi Pärnits, Enno Lend, Jaanus Jakimenko, Vallo Nuust, Ivi Lillepuu (Chief Expert of HTM Department of Higher Education) and Jana Praun, representative of Foundation of Estonian UAS’.
