Today, RKRN visited the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu. The forthcoming RKRN vision document, prepared by the Universities of Applied Sciences, was presented. Topics discussed:
* the financing model for higher education, including the impact of the lack of basic funding for applied research and development activities,
* the need to increase the remuneration of academic staff,
* the role of applied higher education in society and cooperation with employers,
* the requirement of internationalization for institutions of applied higher education and mobility issues.
